When my husband and I met and fell in love 26 years ago, we both came to the relationship out of former marriages, each with children. As a couple in their mid-30’s, we knew that a “traditional” wedding was not something that would work for us, nor was it something we wanted. This time, our declaration of love, vows to each other, and the commencement of our lives together was something that was very personal. For that brief period of time, being away from the responsibilities of raising family and work, we wanted it to be a truly intimate experience.
We were married on the island of St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, in a historic, lush botanical garden. The minister who performed our ceremony went above and beyond his “calling” to make it intensely personal and unique. The day before the wedding he took us to choose the site for the ceremony, that day we dressed at his house, my bouquet was made from bougainvillea branches from his hedge, our witness was his church’s secretary because his wife had a previous commitment, and our music was from his CD player. He was also our photographer, leading us around the venue taking pictures of us in the ruins and at the ceremony site. At lunch later that day back at our hotel, we asked him why he did this for us, and his response was, “I have no idea. I’ve never done this before.” We were stunned yet confident that it was simply, “meant to be.”

From helping you choose the site for the ceremony, to arranging your flowers, witnessing your ceremony, and helping you plan your honeymoon, we want to create for you that same, very special experience we had. We are committed to pampering you while you elope to New York and making the start of your married life together seamless and perfect in every way we can.
We offer three levels of elopement packages, and we are happy to customize them to suit your needs and desires. You may also add up to six guests if you have family or friends who would like to attend. If you have a larger group, please contact us about hosting an intimate wedding at our Lake Erie bed and breakfast.
